Please  take note ...

NEW (alternate link found) ...

NOW ... (but sad to say I had to edit out on 2016-11-06 several of these now non working links.)

Working ? links at ...

http://developers-heaven.net/forum/index.php/topic,2587.msg3100.html#msg3100

(Originally all the links were ok ... then the main Alberto link went 'down' ...
 then I posted links re. 'Alberto' in other languages than English ... that still worked.)

The TOP part of that page is now copied below  ...for your easy reference ...

Time for some insights concerning this past 1700 years of history ... from an insider ... to help further explain the present looming end-time crisis ... revealed to us in the last book of the Bible ...

1  The Revelation of Jesus (Yeshua) Christ (Messiah), which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly*** (suddenly, 'tachos', quickly, speedily)*** come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
2  Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

3  Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Ok ...

The claim of this insider's wife ...

is that her husband was murdered ...

by poisoning ...

by his former bosses ...

who he was exposing ...

after he read the Bible for himself ...

and learned the truth of the good-news of the Gospel of the grace of God ...

lavished on us by giving us His beloved Son ...

The Lord Jesus(Yeshua) Christ(Messiah) ...

when He became the ultimate lamb promised to us/by God ...

though Abraham ...

(to Issac ... my son, God will Himself provide a lamb) ...

to all who would simply trust in Him for their salvation ...

(Yeshua - the salvation of God and God our Saviour) ...

and thus ...

know Him as the true Messiah ...

and their Lord and the most wonderfully awesome King of kings.

For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

Please read here:

http://www.fmh-child.org/AlbertoRivera.html

http://www.spirituallysmart.com/alberto.html

***  tachos, quickly, speedily ***

Please note other places that this ... 'suddenness' ... also seems to be stated:

For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. (1 Thessalonians 5:3 )

Therefore this iniquity shall be to you as a breach ready to fall, swelling out in a high wall, whose breaking cometh suddenly at an instant. (Isaiah 30:13)

And note Yeshua's final warning to us:

... If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. (Revelation 3:3)

Now ... please carefully read ... the following ...

a fairly quick ... but very insightful overview of history ...

leading up to today's prophesied, by Yeshua (Jesus) ...

extreme deceitful ...

'ravenous wolves in sheep's clothing' !

If you download and install a version of Python 3 ... you can run the attached program in Python and see the absolutely ABSURD output ... (if one starts with the evolutionary premise that man has been here on this earth for at least 195,000 years ...)

The first part shows some sample calculations for (year, population) data points obtained from info on the web

re...

Year, Global Population
      1,       250,000,000
1492,       500,000,000
1804,     1,000,000,000
1922,     2,000,000,000
1959,     3,000,000,000
2006,     6,680,000,000

I then calculated several 'x's  ...
re. the exponential growth equation ...

population = startPop * e^ (x * elapsedYears)
x1 = ln(pop2/pop1) / (yr2-yr1)
x2 = ln(pop2/pop ) / (yr2-yr )
Year, Global Population,      x1,      x2
1492,       500,000,000, 0.00046, 0.00046
1804,     1,000,000,000, 0.00222, 0.00077
1922,     2,000,000,000, 0.00587, 0.00108
1959,     3,000,000,000, 0.01096, 0.00127
2006,     6,680,000,000, 0.01703, 0.00164

I then looked at a well know family, and several times almost extinguished family in history,
Abraham and Sarah,
so we can establish some minimal growth rate estimates ...

Abraham and Sarah, from years -2000 to 2016,
Judah's family population grew from 2 to about 16,000,000
Year, Global Population,       x
2016,        16,000,000, 0.00396
from -2000 to year AD 0071, population is:      7,245
from -2000 to year AD 2016, population is: 16,000,000

Example Noah's 8 at -2092 ... to 7 Billion today 2016:
Estimates ...
population in 2016 = 7,739,752,537
generations = 178
yrsPerGen = 24
avg. growth rate per generation = 1.124
num1000FtSqrs = 550,253,216
pop/usable_square = 14.07

Example evolution theory -195000 ... to ? ? ?
Estimates ...
population in -156840 = 1.05e+81
generations = 1591
yrsPerGen = 24
avg. growth rate per generation = 1.124
num1000FtSqrs = 550,253,216
pop/usable_square = 1.90e+72

*Of course* the population growth total could never reach anywhere near
MUCH MUCH MUCH less than 1E81 on this earth ... EVER!!!
(BECAUSE ...
 growth rates would quickly approach zero
 as we approached a SO VERY MUCH MUCH LESSOR allowed population upper limit.)

THUS ...

NOTE the absurd number of projected persons per sq foot
(ON the Earth's surface)
IF  ...
man has been here for so very much less than 195,000 years ...

SO ... we can easily  see that ...
man has been here for *only the about 10,000 years since Adam and Eve* ...
as can be seen by the KNOWN historical growth rates found above
for Abraham and Sarah (2 real historical people who lived about 4000 years ago)
for the NOW about 4000 years time span ...
to the present day approximate (16,000,000 'jewish' (Judah) descendants of Abraham and Sarah) !

Ok ... here is the Python (version 3.x) program for you to test run ...

Code: [Select]
# population_2.py #

from math import e, pi, log as ln

# data found on web for (year, estimated_global_ population)

Whew !

2015 ! !

Can you believe it ? ? ?

I suspect  ... that we will need ... heaven's grace more than ever in the coming days ...

so  ...

here are a few heaven inspired texts to be an encouragement:

I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.

And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.
.
(Daniel 7:13,14)

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book.

And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
.

Many shall be purified, and made white, and tried; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
(Daniel 12:1-3, 10)

And Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to [him] for to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what [shall be] the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world? And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all [these things] must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these [are] the beginning of sorrows. Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains: Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing out of his house: Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes. And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days! But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day: For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened. Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here [is] Christ, or there; believe [it] not. For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if [it were] possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before. Wherefore if they shall say unto you, Behold, he is in the desert; go not forth: behold, [he is] in the secret chambers; believe [it] not. For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For wheresoever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together. Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer [is] nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, [even] at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. But of that day and hour knoweth no [man], no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noe [were], so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two [women shall be] grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh. Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed [is] that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. Verily I say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. But and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; And shall begin to smite [his] fellowservants, and to eat and drink with the drunken; The lord of that servant shall come in a day when he looketh not for [him], and in an hour that he is not aware of, And shall cut him asunder, and appoint [him] his portion with the hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
(Matthew 24:1-51)

And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth? And he spake this parable unto certain which trusted in themselves that they were righteous, and despised others: Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one a Pharisee, and the other a publican. The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men [are], extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican. I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all that I possess. And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as [his] eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me a sinner. I tell you, this man went down to his house justified [rather] than the other: for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased; and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.
(Luke 18:1-14)

And you [hath he quickened], who were dead in trespasses and sins; Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us, Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;) And hath raised [us] up together, and made [us] sit together in heavenly [places] in Christ Jesus: That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in [his] kindness toward us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
(Ephesians 2:1-10)

Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
(Galations 2:16)

Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost.;
(Titus 3:5)

But see ...

Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar?
(James 2:21)

Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only.
(James 2:24)

Likewise also was not Rahab the harlot justified by works, when she had received the messengers, and had sent them out another way?
(James 2:25 )

And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk:
(Revelation 9:20)

SO ... it seems the faith that is rare when Yeshua returns is a REAL (kind of) faith that ACTUALLY DOES TRUST in HIM and HEARS and FOLLOWS HIS WORD!

Recall Yeshua said:

But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any [man] pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave [them] me, is greater than all; and no [man] is able to pluck [them] out of my Father’s hand. I and [my] Father are one.
(John 10:26-30)

May this 2015 ...

be the year  ...

that we really earnestly DO SEEK to HEAR HIS VOICE ... and hearing ... FOLLOW HIM!!!

Baruch HaShem!!!

P.S.

Let's recall:

But without faith [it is] impossible to please [him]: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and [that] he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
(Hebrews 11:6)

And ...

... for whatsoever is not of faith is sin..  (Romans 14:23)

And ...

So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.  (Romans 10:17)

And ...

... the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.   (John 1:14)

And ...

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

(Revelation 3:20-22)

I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, [and] the bright and morning star. And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely. For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book. He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly (tacho - suddenly). Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen.
(Revelation 22:16-21)

Re: Free Beginning Bible Study/Getting to know the Heavenly Author series ...

An open letter to my grand children and grand nieces  ... and nephews ...

This site has mainly been constructed with you all ... and all the children of this generation, in mind.

Recently, my youngest grand daughter mentioned to me that she liked history ... and then later, at an other time, asked me,

How do you know?

Part of my answer then was that we really do know about many historical events because we know the character of the witnesses to those events and know that they have faithfully described them to us ...

And then I remembered this following Python graphic program, that I had started in Python over a year ago for a student, and decided to clean up and improve it, as per below.

Again ...
the goal here, of the graphic generating (Python computer) program below, is to ...

help make it easier to SEE  ...

A VERY BIG IDEA:

the idea that the start of HIS-STORY ...
the story of our first father Adam and what he observed and experienced over his 930 years ... and the experiences of his children and grand-children, down to 20 generations later at the time of Abraham, who we know was living at an era about 4000 years ago from the present, THAT THIS HISTORY was easily passed on to Israel ... and then, during the 4th generation from Israel, this history was easily put to parchment by the great born-in-Egypt prince and scholar, Moses.  And then, via gifted scribes of Israel, this history was so carefully passed on to us ...

SO EASILY because of,

especially,

the extra long life spans of the first 11 generations, who lived before the flood, and the long life of Shem who lived through the flood and who was still living for the first 50 years of Abraham's grand-son Jacob/Israel!!!

NOTE that Adam was contemporary with Methuselah,

and that Methuselah lived with Noah's son Shem for the 100 years before the flood,

and that Shem lived until the end of the first 50 years of Abraham's grand-son, Jacob/Israel.

Please see the code below ... and both the graphic screens generated.

You can easily run the code yourself, once you have installed a version of Python 3 on your computer,
you can run it and plainly see how HIS-STORY was actually really easily passed from Adam ... then via Methuselah ... then via Shem ... to Israel ... and so then to us!

Did you know that God has promised to faithfully preserve HIS-STORY for us?

We have three faithful witnesses to these confirmatory words of Jesus, that He spoke for us, about 2000 years ago:

Matthew 24:35  Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
Mark 13:31        Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.
Luke 21:33        Heaven and earth shall pass away: but my words shall not pass away.

And for you Java programmers ... here is a Java version.
(Note, I was using the latest version of Java 8.)

Please see BOTH files below.

Each generates a graph.

The first, displays bar graphs to allow you to easily see the long ages before the WORLD WIDE flood in Noah's day
and then the rapid fall off of life spans after the flood.

The second, shows the tremendous overlap of the life spans.

Code: [Select]
import java.awt.Color;
import java.awt.Graphics;

import javax.swing.JPanel;
import javax.swing.JFrame;
import javax.swing.SwingUtilities;

public class Ages1a {

    static final int[] ages = { 930, 912, 905, 910, 895, 962, 365, 969, 777, 950,
                                602, 438, 433, 464, 239, 239, 230, 148, 205, 175 };

    static String[] names = { "Adam","Seth","Enos","Cainan","Mahalaleel","Jared","Enoch","Methuselah","Lamech","Noah",
                              "Shem","Arphaxad","Salah","Eber","Peleg","Reu","Serug","Nahor","Terah", "Abraham" };

    public static void main( String[] args ) {

        SwingUtilities.invokeLater( new Runnable() { public void run() { createWindow(); } } );
    }

    public static void createWindow() {

        JFrame jf = new JFrame( "AGE at death of our first 20 fathers, Adam to Abraham ... " );
        jf.setDefaultCloseOperation( jf.EXIT_ON_CLOSE );

        jf.setSize( 800, 600 );
        jf.setLocationRelativeTo( null ); // center window //

        jf.setBackground( Color.WHITE );
        jf.setContentPane( new MyJPanel() );

        jf.setVisible( true );
    }

    public static class MyJPanel extends JPanel {

        public void paintComponent( Graphics gr ) {

            int w = getWidth();
            int h = getHeight();

            super.paintComponent( gr );
            int n = ages.length;
            int x = 0;
            for( int i = 0; i < n; ++ i ) {
                int y = (int)(ages[i]*0.20 + 0.5);
                gr.setColor( Color.GREEN );
                gr.fillRect( x, h-y , w/n, y );

                else if( i < 9 ) gr.setColor( Color.BLACK );
                else gr.setColor( Color.BLUE );
                gr.drawString( " " + ages[i], i*w/n, h-y );
                x += w/n;
            }

            gr.setColor( Color.BLACK );
            gr.drawString( " Note that 7th generation, Enoch never died, but was 'raptured'.", 20, 20 );
            gr.drawString( " Note the QUICK and ALMOST EXPONENTIAL decrease of life spans," +
                           " in the generations RIGHT AFTER the FLOOD.", 20, 40 );
            gr.drawString( " Note that the ages in 'BLUE' are ages for those who were alive after the FLOOD.", 20, 60 );

            int y = h/3;

                else if( i == 7 ) gr.setColor( Color.BLACK ); // All who lived past the flood are 'BLUE' //
                else if( i == 9 ) gr.setColor( Color.BLUE ); // All who lived past the flood are 'BLUE' //

                if( i % 5 == 0 ) gr.drawString( info, x, y + i/5*20 );
                else if( i % 5 == 1 ) gr.drawString( info, x +w/6, y + i/5*20 );

                else gr.drawString( info, x + 2*w/3, y + i/5*20 );
            }
        }
    }
}

2017 here we come ... and may heaven help us !!!

Recently, when discussing a family friend who had just died, at age 55, after 12+ years of struggling with cancer ... and leaving behind two daughters, 19 and 24 ...

the following comment was made to me by another friend:

"See life is unpredictable."

I believe God provided me with an answer to give to this friend,

and now,

to you all.

Please read on ...

"It does seem that way at times ... but as we get to know our Creator and His ways ... we can experience this promise more and more:

'All things (do) work together for good, to those who love God, (i.e.) to those who are (the) called according to His purpose.'

... and His purpose is that His redeemed children live together with Him on a new earth and in a new heaven for ever ... where even the lion and the lamb lie down together ... and all tears are wiped away ... and we are then like the Holy angels.

We are in this life ... like we are 'on probation' ... this life is short ... even if we live a 1000 years compared to eternity.

But God has provided, a guaranteed and free, (to us -- but at great cost to Him), an eternal Salvation.

About 2000 years ago, in Bethlehem, the city where king David was  born, the long promised Saviour was born ...

and fulfilled then ALL that was prophesied for His first advent ...

This is the generation of His return, but this time with millions of angels, in blazing fire from heaven, at a time when Israel is back in their ancient land ... and Jerusalem is back in their hands ... and all the foretold greatly troubling events are taking place, especially all the nations being troubled over Jerusalem.

Everyone who ever died will one day be resurrected ...
the soon coming 'first resurrection', we are told, is for 'the blessed and Holy'.

We are all unholy ...
but God freely gives us His Holy Spirit to make us Holy ...
i.e. to all who take His Gift of Salvation - Jesus.

God planned this guaranteed Salvation for all who would accept it, before the foundations of the world ...

God knew we all would sin ...
and so provided himself a just way to offer us His mercy ...

Jesus suffered and died for the sins of the whole world,
once for all time.

And now,
we are loved of God,
just like His First born and beloved Son, Jesus,
if we will take Jesus as our Saviour and Lord.

Best gift ever !!!

And so awesome ...
so ...
'Out of this world!!!' "

It's almost the start of the New Year 2017 ...

Recently some very distressing situations have come to my attention ...
and these have compelled me to much reflection ...
and so to write as follows:

The scriptures teach us:

'He who wins souls is wise' (Proverbs 11:30 *See all scriptures in context at end of this text*)

and that God's heart is glad when our lips speak what is right. (Proverbs 23:16)

So why is 'self righteousness' such an offense to God (and to others)?

What did Jesus show us in Matthew 21:31-32
and also in Luke 18:10-14

What is taught us in: Titus 3:5, Ephesians 2:1-10

So what then is the purpose <the 'telos' - the end goal> of the law and all the commandments?

1) Romans 7:13, 8:3-4, Galatians 3:24 (... to bring us to Christ)

2) Note that 'many sins' forgiven elicits much love as in Luke SEVEN:47-48, 1 John 4:19, 1 Timothy 1:FIVE
   (the <end - telos> goal is ... love ), Matthew 21:30-31,
    Romans 10:1-15 (the <end - telos> goal is Christ -> Rom TEN:4 and note: Christ is God is love.)

Just a start ...

Now note that ...

when your mother gave birth to you, did you have anything to do with it?

But as you grew, you became aware of your self and your parents, etc...

If you can understand that,
then you can understand that you had no part at all
in being 'born again by the the Spirit, by the Word' ...

See John 1:13, ... *were born* NOT of blood, NOR of the will of the flesh, NOR of the will of man, but of God.  (Emphasis added.)

John 1:12 ... once born ... then we can
(drink the pure milk of the word) ...
to grow as children of the Living God.

Now before we are born, we are conceived ... see Rom 10:13-17

Be blessed !!!

What we seem to be experiencing more and more these days is this truth from God's Word:

The heart is (all our hearts are) deceitful above all things and desperately wicked,
who can know it ... until God shows it to us ? (As He revealed to us via Jeremiah.)

There is none righteous ... no not one ...

we all have sinned and all do fall short of God's perfect plan ... Jesus.

But isn't God's way so wonderful ...

by grace we are saved ...

God does this for us!
(We were known to Him to be placed into Christ before the foundations of the earth.)

And so says the scripture:

we are of God, in Christ ...

He who knew NO sin, was made sin,
(He suffered and died in our place for ALL our sins, even for all the sin of the world),
that we might be right with God - by and in Him - i.e. in Christ.
(See 2 Corinthians 5:21)

Salvation is a (free to us) gift ...
because the cost was 'priceless/beyond price' !!!

When we begin to see something of what He has saved us from ...
and what He has saved us to ...
and how He used so many people and situations ...
and has been so long-suffering to bring us to Himself ...

(we love Him because He first loved us and gave Himself for us ...)

we then are eager to hear Him ...
and our joy and strength is to please Him more and more.

And we then KNOW that He is Lord and God!

And like Thomas, we then fall down before Him,
worshipping Him saying: 'My Lord and my God!!!'

In the beginning was the Word,
and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God.

All things were made by Him
<and for His pleasure and purposes>...

and so, being God (Good) ...

is it surprising that He ...
Yeshua - Yah (God) our Savior - Jesus ...
(God is good)
really does know what is best for us !!!

Note that all the scripture references listed above  ... and some more related scriptures ...
are all provided for your easy access on the next page.

Proverbs 11:30
The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life;
and he that winneth souls is wise.

Proverbs 23:16 (God says ...)
Yea, my reins <my emotions - my inner being> shall rejoice,
when thy lips speak right things.

Matthew 21:28-32 (Jesus asks ... )
But what think ye?
A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said,
    Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
He answered and said,
    I will not:
but afterward he repented, and went.
And he came to the second, and said likewise.
And he answered and said,
   I go, sir: and went not.

(Jesus asks/and further explains ...)
Whether of them twain did the will of his father?

They say unto him,
   The first.

Jesus saith unto them,
    Verily I say unto you,
That the publicans <tax collectors>
and the harlots
go into the kingdom of God
before you.

For John came unto you in the way of righteousness,
and ye believed him not:
but the publicans and the harlots believed him:
and ye, when ye had seen it,
repented not afterward, that ye might believe him.

Luke 18:10-14
Two men went up into the temple to pray;
the one a Pharisee,
and the other a publican.

The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself,

   God, I thank thee, that I am not as other men are,
extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this publican.
I fast twice in the week,
I give tithes of all that I possess.

And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven,
but smote upon his breast, saying,
    God be merciful to me a sinner.

I tell you, this man went down to his house justified rather than the other:
for every one that exalteth himself shall be abased;
and he that humbleth himself shall be exalted.

Titus 3:5
Not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to his mercy he saved us,
by the washing of regeneration,
and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Ephesians 2:1-10
And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins;
Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world,
according to the prince of the power of the air,
the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh,
fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind;
and were by nature the children of wrath,
even as others.

But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us,
Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)
And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:
That in the ages to come
he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace
in his kindness toward us
through Christ Jesus.

For by grace are ye saved through faith;
and that not of yourselves:
it is the gift of God:
Not of works,
lest any man should boast.
For we are his workmanship,
created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Romans 7:13
Was then that which is good made death unto me?
God forbid.
But sin, that it might appear sin,
working death in me by that which is good;
that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.

Romans 8:3,4
For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh,
God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin,
condemned sin in the flesh:
That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us,
who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Galatians 3:24
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ,
that we might be justified by faith.

Luke 7:40-48
And Jesus answering said unto him, Simon,
   I have somewhat to say unto thee.

And he saith,
   Master, say on.

   There was a certain creditor which had two debtors:
the one owed five hundred pence, and the other fifty.
And when they had nothing to pay, he frankly forgave them both.
Tell me therefore, which of them will love him most?

Simon answered and said,
    I suppose that he, to whom he forgave most.

And he said unto him,
    Thou hast rightly judged.

And he turned to the woman, and said unto Simon,
    Seest thou this woman?
I entered into thine house, thou gavest me no water for my feet:
but she hath washed my feet with tears, and wiped them with the hairs of her head.
Thou gavest me no kiss:
but this woman since the time I came in hath not ceased to kiss my feet.

My head with oil thou didst not anoint:
but this woman hath anointed my feet with ointment.

Wherefore I say unto thee,
    Her sins, which are many, are forgiven; for she loved much:
but to whom little is forgiven, the same loveth little.

And he said unto her,
    Thy sins are forgiven.

1 John 4:19
We love him,
because he first loved us.

2 Corinthians 5:21
For he (God) hath made him (Jesus) to be sin for us, who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

(more context ...)
2 Corinthians 5:19-21
...God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself,
not imputing their trespasses unto them;
and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.

Now then we are ambassadors for Christ,
as though God did beseech you by us:
we pray you in Christ’s stead,
be ye reconciled to God.

For he hath made him to be sin for us,
who knew no sin;
that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.

1 Timothy 1:5
Now the end <goal> of the commandment is charity <God's 'agape' love>
out of a pure heart,
and of a good conscience,
and of faith unfeigned:

Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end <goal> of the law for righteousness
to every one that believeth.

Recall: "... God is love."
1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God;
for God is love.

1 John 5:3
For this is the love of God,
that we keep his commandments:
and his commandments are not grievous.

1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;
of whom I am chief.

John 14:15 ... 21 (Jesus said)
If ye love me,
keep my commandments.

He that hath my commandments,
and keepeth them,
he it is that loveth me:
and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father,
and I will love him,
and will manifest myself to him.

John 15:10
If ye keep my commandments,
ye shall abide in my love;
even as I have kept my Father’s commandments,
and abide in his love.

1 John 2:3
And hereby we do know that we know him,
if we keep his commandments.

1 John 3:22
And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him,
because we keep his commandments,
and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

1 John 5:2,3
By this we know that we love the children of God,
when we love God, and keep his commandments.
For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments:
and his commandments are not grievous.

Revelations 12:17
And the dragon was wroth with the woman,
and went to make war with the remnant of her seed,
which keep the commandments of God,
and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Revelatins 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints:
here are they that keep the commandments of God,
and the faith of Jesus.

Luke 6:47,48
Whosoever cometh to me,
and heareth my sayings,
and doeth them,
I will shew you to whom he is like:
He is like a man which built an house,
and digged deep,
and laid the foundation on a rock:
and when the flood arose,
the stream beat vehemently upon that house,
and could not shake it:
for it was founded upon a rock.

Matthew 12:30,31
He that is not with me is against me;
and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
Wherefore I say unto you,
    All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men:
but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.

Romans 10:1-15
Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is,
that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God,
but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness,
and going about to establish their own righteousness,
have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

For Christ is the end <the goal> of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.
For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law,
That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.

But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise,
Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven?
(that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Or, Who shall descend into the deep?
(that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)

But what saith it?
The word is nigh thee,
even in thy mouth, and in thy heart:
that is, the word of faith, which we preach;

That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus,
and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead,
thou shalt be saved.

For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness;
and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

For the scripture saith,
Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek:
for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?

And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!

Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end <goal> of the law for righteousness

Romans 2:4
Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering;
not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

John 1:13
Which were born,
not of blood,
nor of the will of the flesh,
nor of the will of man,
but of God.

John 1:12
But as many as received him,
to them gave he power to become the sons of God,
even to them that believe on his name:

Romans 10:13-17
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?
and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?
And how shall they preach, except they be sent?

as it is written,
How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace,
and bring glad tidings of good things!

But they have not all obeyed the gospel.

For Esaias saith,
Lord, who hath believed our report?

So then faith cometh by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God.

Has this time arrived?

Luke 21:26-28

Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.

And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.

Today is 2020-09-16 and a new friend has been asking me about the place of Israel and Zion and those labeled ‘Zionist‘ ... what is their place in God’s prophetic word?

Psalm 137

1 By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion.

2 We hanged our harps upon the willows in the midst thereof.

3 For there they that carried us away captive required of us a song; and they that wasted us required of us mirth, saying, Sing us one of the songs of Zion.

4 How shall we sing the Lord's song in a strange land?

5 If I forget thee, O Jerusalem, let my right hand forget her cunning.

6 If I do not remember thee, let my tongue cleave to the roof of my mouth; if I prefer not Jerusalem above my chief joy.

7 Remember, O Lord, the children of Edom in the day of Jerusalem; who said, Rase it, rase it, even to the foundation thereof.

8 O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed ...

Psalms 87:2 - The LORD loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

Psalms 132:13 - For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired [it] for his habitation.

Isaiah 35:6-10 - Then shall the lame [man] leap as an hart, and the tongue of the dumb sing: for in the wilderness shall waters break out, and streams in the desert.  And the parched ground shall become a pool, and the thirsty land springs of water: in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, [shall be] grass with reeds and rushes.  And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it [shall be] for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err [therein].  No lion shall be there, nor [any] ravenous beast shall go up thereon, it shall not be found there; but the redeemed shall walk [there]:  And the ransomed of the LORD shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Isaiah 51:3 - For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

Isaiah 51:16 - And I have put my words in thy mouth, and I have covered thee in the shadow of mine hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou [art] my people.

Isaiah 52:2 - Shake thyself from the dust; arise, [and] sit down, O Jerusalem: loose thyself from the bands of thy neck, O captive daughter of Zion.

Isaiah 60:14 - The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee; and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee, The city of the LORD, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.

Zechariah 2:10 - Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

Romans 9:33 - As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

So you can see that Israel, its land and people, its Jerusalem ... they all have a very significant place in God’s Word ...

Several years ago, I was privileged to befriend an Israeli investigative journalist, Barry Chamish.  Please note his careful distinctions of various people groups that make up Israel (and the scattered remnant) these days ...

http://developers-heaven.net/forum/index.php/topic,2640.0.html

If you read the copy/paste at the link above (of my last email from Barry before he ‘disappeared’) ... and if you noted his very close insights to the history of the various parties/groups today that make up ‘Israel’ (and the scattered remnants - Barry was born in Winnipeg and graduated as a teacher there before he joined the IDF and did his MA in Israel) ... you would have seen that the (people-group) problem is with what Barry termed “Labour Zionist” ... but these are very much used by/in-bed-with the (people-group) problem of the demon worshipping clergy in the Vatican ... note the connections to Rothschild banks, etc...

If you see what was revealed to the apostle John for us, read Revelation 13, you can see that there are 2 beasts, one from the sea (the nations), one from the earth (the land of Israel) ... there is a false prophet figure who convinces (most) to worship this then false Christ (the anti-Christ) as if he were God ... this all will eventually take place ... but perhaps we may still have a “pause” time if we do as was foretold:

2 Chronicles 7:

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

But see greater context:

12 And the Lord appeared to Solomon by night, and said unto him, I have heard thy prayer, and have chosen this place to myself for an house of sacrifice.

13 If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among my people;

14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

15 Now mine eyes shall be open, and mine ears attent unto the prayer that is made in this place.

16 For now have I chosen and sanctified this house, that my name may be there for ever: and mine eyes and mine heart shall be there perpetually.

17 And as for thee, if thou wilt walk before me, as David thy father walked, and do according to all that I have commanded thee, and shalt observe my statutes and my judgments;

18 Then will I stablish the throne of thy kingdom, according as I have covenanted with David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man to be ruler in Israel.

19 But if ye turn away, and forsake my statutes and my commandments, which I have set before you, and shall go and serve other gods, and worship them;

20 Then will I pluck them up by the roots out of my land which I have given them; and this house, which I have sanctified for my name, will I cast out of my sight, and will make it to be a proverb and a byword among all nations.

21 And this house, which is high, shall be an astonishment to every one that passeth by it; so that he shall say, Why hath the Lord done thus unto this land, and unto this house?

22 And it shall be answered, Because they forsook the Lord God of their fathers, which brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, and laid hold on other gods, and worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath he brought all this evil upon them.

So we see two genealogies of the birth of Jesus ... one traces back to King David via his son Solomon, the other via an other son (Nathan) ...

See accounts of genealogy of Jesus in Gospel accounts of Matthew and Luke:

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Matthew+1&version=KJV&interface=amp

Matthew 1

1 The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

3 And Judas begat Phares and Zara of Thamar; and Phares begat Esrom; and Esrom begat Aram;

4 And Aram begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson; and Naasson begat Salmon;

5 And Salmon begat Booz of Rachab; and Booz begat Obed of Ruth; and Obed begat Jesse;

6 And Jesse begat David the king; and David the king begat Solomon of her that had been the wife of Urias;

7 And Solomon begat Roboam; and Roboam begat Abia; and Abia begat Asa;

8 And Asa begat Josaphat; and Josaphat begat Joram; and Joram begat Ozias;

9 And Ozias begat Joatham; and Joatham begat Achaz; and Achaz begat Ezekias;

10 And Ezekias begat Manasses; and Manasses begat Amon; and Amon begat Josias;

11 And Josias begat Jechonias and his brethren, about the time they were carried away to Babylon:

12 And after they were brought to Babylon, Jechonias begat Salathiel; and Salathiel begat Zorobabel;

13 And Zorobabel begat Abiud; and Abiud begat Eliakim; and Eliakim begat Azor;

14 And Azor begat Sadoc; and Sadoc begat Achim; and Achim begat Eliud;

15 And Eliud begat Eleazar; and Eleazar begat Matthan; and Matthan begat Jacob;

16 And Jacob begat Joseph the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus, who is called Christ.

17 So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations.

18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily.

20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.

21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.

22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,

23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:

25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus.

Luke 1

1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,

2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;

3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,

4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.

5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife was of the daughters of Aaron, and her name was Elisabeth.

6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.

7 And they had no child, because that Elisabeth was barren, and they both were now well stricken in years.

8 And it came to pass, that while he executed the priest's office before God in the order of his course,

9 According to the custom of the priest's office, his lot was to burn incense when he went into the temple of the Lord.

10 And the whole multitude of the people were praying without at the time of incense.

11 And there appeared unto him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense.

12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him.

13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John.

14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth.

15 For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and he shall be filled with the Holy Ghost, even from his mother's womb.

16 And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God.

17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

18 And Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years.

19 And the angel answering said unto him, I am Gabriel, that stand in the presence of God; and am sent to speak unto thee, and to shew thee these glad tidings.

20 And, behold, thou shalt be dumb, and not able to speak, until the day that these things shall be performed, because thou believest not my words, which shall be fulfilled in their season.

21 And the people waited for Zacharias, and marvelled that he tarried so long in the temple.

22 And when he came out, he could not speak unto them: and they perceived that he had seen a vision in the temple: for he beckoned unto them, and remained speechless.

23 And it came to pass, that, as soon as the days of his ministration were accomplished, he departed to his own house.

24 And after those days his wife Elisabeth conceived, and hid herself five months, saying,

25 Thus hath the Lord dealt with me in the days wherein he looked on me, to take away my reproach among men.

26 And in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent from God unto a city of Galilee, named Nazareth,

27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

28 And the angel came in unto her, and said, Hail, thou that art highly favoured, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

29 And when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and cast in her mind what manner of salutation this should be.

30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.

31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.

32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end.

34 Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?

35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.

36 And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren.

37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.

38 And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

39 And Mary arose in those days, and went into the hill country with haste, into a city of Juda;

40 And entered into the house of Zacharias, and saluted Elisabeth.

41 And it came to pass, that, when Elisabeth heard the salutation of Mary, the babe leaped in her womb; and Elisabeth was filled with the Holy Ghost:

42 And she spake out with a loud voice, and said, Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

43 And whence is this to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me?

44 For, lo, as soon as the voice of thy salutation sounded in mine ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.

45 And blessed is she that believed: for there shall be a performance of those things which were told her from the Lord.

46 And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,

47 And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.

48 For he hath regarded the low estate of his handmaiden: for, behold, from henceforth all generations shall call me blessed.

49 For he that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is his name.

50 And his mercy is on them that fear him from generation to generation.

51 He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

52 He hath put down the mighty from their seats, and exalted them of low degree.

53 He hath filled the hungry with good things; and the rich he hath sent empty away.

54 He hath helped his servant Israel, in remembrance of his mercy;

55 As he spake to our fathers, to Abraham, and to his seed for ever.

56 And Mary abode with her about three months, and returned to her own house.

57 Now Elisabeth's full time came that she should be delivered; and she brought forth a son.

58 And her neighbours and her cousins heard how the Lord had shewed great mercy upon her; and they rejoiced with her.

59 And it came to pass, that on the eighth day they came to circumcise the child; and they called him Zacharias, after the name of his father.

60 And his mother answered and said, Not so; but he shall be called John.

61 And they said unto her, There is none of thy kindred that is called by this name.

62 And they made signs to his father, how he would have him called.

63 And he asked for a writing table, and wrote, saying, His name is John. And they marvelled all.

64 And his mouth was opened immediately, and his tongue loosed, and he spake, and praised God.

65 And fear came on all that dwelt round about them: and all these sayings were noised abroad throughout all the hill country of Judaea.

66 And all they that heard them laid them up in their hearts, saying, What manner of child shall this be! And the hand of the Lord was with him.

67 And his father Zacharias was filled with the Holy Ghost, and prophesied, saying,

68 Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people,

69 And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant David;

70 As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the world began:

71 That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all that hate us;

72 To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his holy covenant;

73 The oath which he sware to our father Abraham,

74 That he would grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might serve him without fear,

75 In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days of our life.

76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways;

77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins,

78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us,

79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

80 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, and was in the deserts till the day of his shewing unto Israel.

Luke 2

1 And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed.

2 (And this taxing was first made when Cyrenius was governor of Syria.)

3 And all went to be taxed, every one into his own city.

4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David, which is called Bethlehem; (because he was of the house and lineage of David:)

5 To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child.

6 And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered.

7 And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.

8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,

14 Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

15 And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us.

16 And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger.

17 And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.

18 And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

19 But Mary kept all these things, and pondered them in her heart.

20 And the shepherds returned, glorifying and praising God for all the things that they had heard and seen, as it was told unto them.

21 And when eight days were accomplished for the circumcising of the child, his name was called Jesus, which was so named of the angel before he was conceived in the womb.

22 And when the days of her purification according to the law of Moses were accomplished, they brought him to Jerusalem, to present him to the Lord;

23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)

24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.

25 And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

26 And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, that he should not see death, before he had seen the Lord's Christ.

27 And he came by the Spirit into the temple: and when the parents brought in the child Jesus, to do for him after the custom of the law,

28 Then took he him up in his arms, and blessed God, and said,

29 Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:

30 For mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

31 Which thou hast prepared before the face of all people;

32 A light to lighten the Gentiles, and the glory of thy people Israel.

33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were spoken of him.

34 And Simeon blessed them, and said unto Mary his mother, Behold, this child is set for the fall and rising again of many in Israel; and for a sign which shall be spoken against;

35 (Yea, a sword shall pierce through thy own soul also,) that the thoughts of many hearts may be revealed.

36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Aser: she was of a great age, and had lived with an husband seven years from her virginity;

37 And she was a widow of about fourscore and four years, which departed not from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day.

38 And she coming in that instant gave thanks likewise unto the Lord, and spake of him to all them that looked for redemption in Jerusalem.

39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

40 And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him.

41 Now his parents went to Jerusalem every year at the feast of the passover.

42 And when he was twelve years old, they went up to Jerusalem after the custom of the feast.

43 And when they had fulfilled the days, as they returned, the child Jesus tarried behind in Jerusalem; and Joseph and his mother knew not of it.

44 But they, supposing him to have been in the company, went a day's journey; and they sought him among their kinsfolk and acquaintance.

45 And when they found him not, they turned back again to Jerusalem, seeking him.

46 And it came to pass, that after three days they found him in the temple, sitting in the midst of the doctors, both hearing them, and asking them questions.

47 And all that heard him were astonished at his understanding and answers.

48 And when they saw him, they were amazed: and his mother said unto him, Son, why hast thou thus dealt with us? behold, thy father and I have sought thee sorrowing.

49 And he said unto them, How is it that ye sought me? wist ye not that I must be about my Father's business?

50 And they understood not the saying which he spake unto them.

51 And he went down with them, and came to Nazareth, and was subject unto them: but his mother kept all these sayings in her heart.

52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favour with God and man.

Luke 3

1 Now in the fifteenth year of the reign of Tiberius Caesar, Pontius Pilate being governor of Judaea, and Herod being tetrarch of Galilee, and his brother Philip tetrarch of Ituraea and of the region of Trachonitis, and Lysanias the tetrarch of Abilene,

2 Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.

3 And he came into all the country about Jordan, preaching the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins;

4 As it is written in the book of the words of Esaias the prophet, saying, The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight.

5 Every valley shall be filled, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough ways shall be made smooth;

6 And all flesh shall see the salvation of God.

7 Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

8 Bring forth therefore fruits worthy of repentance, and begin not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, That God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

9 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees: every tree therefore which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.

10 And the people asked him, saying, What shall we do then?

11 He answereth and saith unto them, He that hath two coats, let him impart to him that hath none; and he that hath meat, let him do likewise.

12 Then came also publicans to be baptized, and said unto him, Master, what shall we do?

13 And he said unto them, Exact no more than that which is appointed you.

14 And the soldiers likewise demanded of him, saying, And what shall we do? And he said unto them, Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely; and be content with your wages.

15 And as the people were in expectation, and all men mused in their hearts of John, whether he were the Christ, or not;

16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor, and will gather the wheat into his garner; but the chaff he will burn with fire unquenchable.

18 And many other things in his exhortation preached he unto the people.

19 But Herod the tetrarch, being reproved by him for Herodias his brother Philip's wife, and for all the evils which Herod had done,

20 Added yet this above all, that he shut up John in prison.

21 Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,

22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.

23 And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, which was the son of Heli,

24 Which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi, which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Janna, which was the son of Joseph,

25 Which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Amos, which was the son of Naum, which was the son of Esli, which was the son of Nagge,

26 Which was the son of Maath, which was the son of Mattathias, which was the son of Semei, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Juda,

27 Which was the son of Joanna, which was the son of Rhesa, which was the son of Zorobabel, which was the son of Salathiel, which was the son of Neri,

28 Which was the son of Melchi, which was the son of Addi, which was the son of Cosam, which was the son of Elmodam, which was the son of Er,

29 Which was the son of Jose, which was the son of Eliezer, which was the son of Jorim, which was the son of Matthat, which was the son of Levi,

30 Which was the son of Simeon, which was the son of Juda, which was the son of Joseph, which was the son of Jonan, which was the son of Eliakim,

31 Which was the son of Melea, which was the son of Menan, which was the son of Mattatha, which was the son of Nathan, which was the son of David,

32 Which was the son of Jesse, which was the son of Obed, which was the son of Booz, which was the son of Salmon, which was the son of Naasson,

33 Which was the son of Aminadab, which was the son of Aram, which was the son of Esrom, which was the son of Phares, which was the son of Juda,

34 Which was the son of Jacob, which was the son of Isaac, which was the son of Abraham, which was the son of Thara, which was the son of Nachor,

35 Which was the son of Saruch, which was the son of Ragau, which was the son of Phalec, which was the son of Heber, which was the son of Sala,

36 Which was the son of Cainan, which was the son of Arphaxad, which was the son of Sem, which was the son of Noe, which was the son of Lamech,

37 Which was the son of Mathusala, which was the son of Enoch, which was the son of Jared, which was the son of Maleleel, which was the son of Cainan,

38 Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

Note that in Luke’s account ... it seems that Joseph (the adopting father) was the son-in-law of Heli, (Mary’s/Mariam’s father) ... so here the promise to King David, for a son on his perpetual throne, was kept via his son Nathan, (and not Solomon - why?)

Please note that a much diminished temple, (compared to the one Solomon had constructed) ... it had been rebuilt many years before Jesus was born ... so that he could fulfil what was foretold, there ... and this too was destroyed as Jesus foretold it would be (and that happened by Titus - Rome ... in 70 AD) ...

But this recent rebirth of Israel in 1948 ... then the return of its capital, Jerusalem, in 1967 ... this ALL had to happen to set the stage for this prophecy:

Zechariah 12

1 The burden of the word of the Lord for Israel, saith the Lord, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.

2 Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem.

3 And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it.

4 In that day, saith the Lord, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness: and I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the people with blindness.

5 And the governors of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the Lord of hosts their God.

6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

7 The Lord also shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem do not magnify themselves against Judah.

8 In that day shall the Lord defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that is feeble among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David shall be as God, as the angel of the Lord before them.

9 And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem.

10 And I will pour upon the house of David, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the spirit of grace and of supplications: and they shall look upon me whom they have pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn.

11 In that day shall there be a great mourning in Jerusalem, as the mourning of Hadadrimmon in the valley of Megiddon.

12 And the land shall mourn, every family apart; the family of the house of David apart, and their wives apart; the family of the house of Nathan apart, and their wives apart;

13 The family of the house of Levi apart, and their wives apart; the family of Shimei apart, and their wives apart;

14 All the families that remain, every family apart, and their wives apart.
